Newcircle DownUnderGround finals this weekend!

It’s gonna be an epic weekend for sure. The AusBike expo is going down in Melbourne this weekend and the Newcircle DownUnderGround finals will be a part of it along with Colony’s King of the Jibs in its second year.

There is going to be a Jam at the famous Imax riding spot in central Melbourne on the Saturday (August 20). If you’re in town and have a little free time, you need to get down here to check it out and hang out with some of the riders. Slay The Rail

It’s not necessarily hardcore flatland, but if last years event was anything to go by, this years Slay The Rail will be nuts.

Anton Tang photography

You might remember that in 2010 Anton Tang, Ares Pro rider from Singapore, made his way out to Brisbane for a few days to hang out and ride.

While he was here, we hit up a bunch of spots around South East Queensland and also got a nice interview done with him – peep it here.

As much as he is an awesome rider with a fast and smooth style, he’s also an accomplished photographer. The Ground Force contest that went down in Singapore a few weeks ago was a great opportunity for him to take a bunch of quality snaps.

Shintaro in Singapore!

Shintaro sent in a quick update from his recent trip to Singapore for the Ground Force contest, read on…

I went to Singapore 5-8 August. Only 5 hours from KL.
Because they has competition ‘Ground Force 2011′
(stage 3 of Flatland World Circuit)
Then I got 12th place.. not so good. But it is OK.
Riders visited in Singapore from around the world.
Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines,
Thailand, Canada, Czech Republic and France.
(of course Singapore riders also)
I spent good time with global riders in Singapore.

I might go to Indonesia the next travel on December:)

Newcircle DownUnderGround round 3 – Melbourne

This month will see the final round of the 2011 Newcircle DownUnderGround contest going down in Melbourne on August 21.

This year it will be part of the AusBike Trade show, which will be indoors and with a perfect floor. BMX is gonna be in full effect this weekend as the Colony King of the Jibs will also be going down the same weekend.

You definitely need to make your way down for this!

Shintaro places 1st in Malaysia!

Newcircle and Colony rider, Shintaro Misawa (aka Rayyan Ibrahim), just recently scored 1st place at the Malacca Flatland Contest in Malaysia.

Shintaro also took home first place for best combo as well!

Congrats Shintaro – well deserved first place for one of the smoothest riders on the planet!
