Colony & Newcircle rider, Shane Badman headed down to Sydney the past weekend to hang out with some of the local crew.
When in town Mike Steingraeber is well known for riding at this spot located in Hyde Park in the centre of the Sydney CBD. Perfect surrounds, marble floor, close to public transport – it’s got everything you need. Not to mention that it’s the middle of winter here in Australia now & the sun was out we’re riding in shirts… perfect.
Andrew Lightbody, Tommy Hantke, Vinnie Pugh & Shane Badman sessioned throughout the afternoon & got the biz done. If you’re ever in the area this is one place you definitely need to check out….

You might remember that a few weeks back Paul Chamberlain did a great piece on a rider named Chicken Boy from Vietnam. If you missed it, you can check it out by clicking here.
Well he’s just put a new web vid out & with the help of Paul Chamberlain on camera & editing, here is the final product & some words from Paul C himself…
I’ve had a stomach bug for a few days and have been bored so I figured I’d chuck this footage together. Was going to wait until I had more of the other guys and some of myself but there’s no time like the present when it’s flowing out of your khyber pass!
Anyway, it’s filmed in Ho Chi Minh City, the biggest city in the south of Vietnam. It’s not filmed at any spots in particular, just by the side of the road in some random places. Second location is an ok spot close to the central post office in District 1 that the guys hit regularly as it’s close to home. Regarding districts, some have names and some have numbers. There’s no logic to either system though…
I filmed this in April when I was down in the sity buying some riding shoes. It was before DUG. Since that time, I’ve given the guys some of my old parts and have got some more to give them courtesy of Australian riders at DUG and the whole World Bike Project phenomenon. Stoked! More footage in the bag and more out there to be captured. Expect a longer high quality video in the near future! This one is low quality due to upload issues and connection problems (Vietnam).
